Khustai National Park lies 90km (56 miles) southwest of Ulaanbaatar, and was established in 1993 to reintroduce Mongolia’s wild Takhi (Przewalski) horses. These wild horses which were unique to Mongolia became extinctin 1960s. In the early 1990s these beautiful creatures have been reintroduced from Western zoos and they have taken well to their freedom. Best time to see them is during their early morning and evening watering time.

Visit a nomadic family. Taste traditional dairy products
Transfer to Khustai National Park. Visit the local museum. Lunch in a restaurant. Drive deep into the park to see the Przewalski wild horses in their natural habitat. Return to the base camp and stay overnight in a tourist ger camp (L/D)
After breakfast drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Transfer to the hotel.
