Day 1Drive to the Dalanzadgad

Meet with your guide and driver. Drive 600 km on paved roads of the endless Gobi steppes to Dalanzadgad, a central town of Umnugobi province. Check in a hotel upon arrival in Dalanzadgad. (580 km driving) Overnight: Hotel

Day 2Gurban Saikhan Mountain and the Camel Festival

After breakfast, we will drive to Mukhar Shivert Valley in the Gobi Gurban Saikhan Mountain. After some hiking, see a frozen river looks like a frozen waterfall. The driving continues on the Gobi steppes and arrives at Bulgan town. Check in a guest house (hotels are not available in the town). The opening of the Camel Festival starts with a camel parade. You will see hundreds of two-humped camels gathered at a place. Next, we will see a competition of the nicest looking couple on gracefully looking camels, ankle bone shooting competition, camel polo and an exhibition of camel paintings, camel products and dairy products made from camel milk. Today’s event ends with a concert of school children of Bulgan town. Overnight: Camping

Day 3The Camel Festival continues

The second day of the festival starts with a camel race. There are two races; of full-grown camels and two-year-old camels. You may bet on the race of the two-year-old camels to make your day more enjoyable. A demonstration of camel training, catching and a way to use camels for a nomadic movement is another interesting point of the festival. The festival ends when winners of all competitions prized. Overnight: Camping

Days 4Drive back Ulaanbaatar

We drive back Ulaanbaatar and transfer to your accommodation. (580 km on paved roads, 100km on rough roads) Overnight: Hotel
